I am deeply disappointed that the cueing system is described in this book as how readers read and learn how to read. Also, the use of miscue analysis. John Hattie if you read this book you would be shocked. This does not match up with Hattie's Effect size research.
I read this book to help me better teach reading and comprehension to my students. This book had so many great points and showed examples in the form of lesson plans. It also gave advice on how to implement guided reading and how to have the maximum amount of impact on student learning.
