My son (11 years old) loves Mad Libs, so he thought these would be perfect to give as valentine gifts for his class. Since there are 21, I thought that would be perfect because he'd have enough for the whole class, but we were only able to make about 10 work for a classroom setting. The other half are more for family--mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa--or he would have been way too embarrassed to give to kids in his class--How Much I Love You, Our Valentine Date, I Love You Because, and Secret Admirer. Some of the Valentines also use the word "darn," which is a word my family doesn't use at home. Some could be VERY embarrassing in a classroom setting because it calls for specific names and if you used names of kids in your class, it would be very embarrassing for the kids. I strongly dislike anything that could cause embarrassment and told my son to use names of people not at school like Santa Clause or Disney characters instead. There's also a more negative tone to some of them--the brother one is all about things you don't like about your brother or things your brother did to you. I much prefer more positive messages. The valentines were still fun and he enjoyed about half of them, but they didn't work for our purposes and we wouldn't buy them again.
Mad libs rock and my 5th grade some loves them so I figured they’d be good for him to hand out to his class for Valentine’s Day. He has 21 kids in his class + the teacher...I must have misread something because there was not 28 valentines but only 21...INCLUDING 6pre labeled for, Teachee, Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister and Grandmother. He handed them out anyway and got all kinds of unsatisfied comments from his classmates....-“You gave me the wrong one, this ones for your brother.†😬 my son said “No, it’s for your brother.†-“This one is for Mrs. why did you give it too me?? ðŸ’â€â™€ï¸ He said “It’s for you to complete with her. Now go over and sit with Mrs. and remember your parts of speech.†etc .....Needless to say, these would have been awesome if they didn’t advertise 28.
Coolest mad libs product! Pages are bigger than the normal mad libs and made so you can fill out one side, tear it off and fold it up to mail. My husband and I brought it out to Valentine's dinner and laughed as we waited for our food and dessert!
Perfect for a valentine's party. Just fill in the blanks and have a good laugh. Mad libs is a must at any party.Love that the letters can be used to hand out as valentines and you can decorate them with the cute stickers.. Fun for all ages
