This is a very thorough examination of many different perspectives on environmental ideologies. I wouldn't say it is terribly current, however, but for getting all the foundations of differing environmental ideologies, this book pretty much covers it all.
This is a very interesting and well-organized text for anyone interested in Critical Theory and environmentalism. It deals less with how Critical Theory deals with ecology as a science and more with introducing how Critical Theory, Deep Ecology, and Ecofeminism offer critiques of the impact of modern society and capitalism on the ecology of Earth.It is a good introductory text.
Really great book and a eye-opening selection of readings! However, the binding on this paperback really sucks and even though I treat my textbooks well, entire sections are falling out!
