About the Author
Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.

Curious George is always fun. The 75th Anniversary book is a treasure. It has seven original Curious George books plus a map plus biographies of Margaret and H.A. Rey and downloadable audiobooks read by John Krasinski! Great classic stories to read to the grandchildren.
My grandson loves the pictures. As I read to him he takes in every detail of the picture. Curious George is his favorite character and the book helps us to not have to read the same story over and over.
I grew up on Curious George. I loved him then and I love him now so I knew what to expect from the books - pure bliss!The only reason I’m giving this review 4 stars as opposed to 5, is because the exterior packaging was damaged (It had obviously been ripped open and very carelessly taped closed) and the binding of the book was damaged as well. Normally, I would return the book; BUT, I’m using it in my classroom next week and don’t have time to return it as I need it for lesson planning; etc prior to that.
I love this book, we had one that someone borrowed and didn't return, so we bought it again. This one's even better with better quality paper, nice storyline in the covers, etc. Recommended!
I got this book for my son who loves George. Having the books together in one collection makes it much easier to go through the stores. It's well constructed and a great nostalgia point for me, having had them read to me as a child.
Brings back childhood memories. Great to have all the stories in one hardbound book! My little boy enjoyed having me read these to him.
I gave this as a gift and he was already a Curious George fan, hope he likes all the stories.
The stories are great! It's requested nightly by my toddler daughter.The binding is detaching from the cover, so not the best construction.
